Lincoln Orchestra Auditions:
Auditioning 2022 for Symphony Orchestra, Concert Orchestra or Chamber Orchestra (contact vigreenbaum@seattleschools.org) 

Strings audition with

• 3 octave scale
• Solo
• Sightreading

Winds/brass/percussion audition 

• Scale
• Chromatic scale
• Solo
• Sightreading

We encourage all grade levels to audition for admission to any ensemble. Strings, winds, brass and percussion may audition for symphony orchestra (top advanced group). Strings may audition for Chamber Orchestra (second advanced).

Strings who choose not to audition will be placed in Concert (intermediate) Orchestra.

Choir Auditions:

To sign up for Lincoln Choir, select CONCERT CHOIR on the registration form. For incoming 9th graders, review the information in the registration packet which will walk you through how to select choir as a 9th grader and meet your other requirements:

​For students interested in Vocal Jazz:

• You must be enrolled in a music ensemble during the school day to audition for vocal jazz (this can be band, choir, percussion, or orchestra).
• Vocal Jazz is an activity that meets outside of the school day: before and/or after school.
• Vocal Jazz auditions will take place in late May 2022 and again in late summer/early fall 2022.
• If you signed up for choir, you will be contacted about your interest in setting up a vocal jazz audition.
